HPEC – The High Plains Environmental Center, located in the middle of The Lakes at Centerra, is a living laboratory that provides leading-edge examples of community design. With 76 acres of land and 4 miles of trails, residents of The Lakes are able to explore the connections between sustainable living and ecological process like never before! Autumn at HPEC is filled with several activities that you don’t want to miss out on! Beekeeping classes, monthly bird walks and nature journaling are just a few ways you can get involved with this incredible organization.
