What's New
Pollinators (birds, bees, butterflies) and other wildlife benefit greatly from gardeners utilizing Colorado native plants.
Last summer, Paul Opler, Entomologist & Adjunct Professor at CSU, studied the insects in the HPEC gardens and listed nearly 200 species of bees in our gardens! Paul says that our gardens at HPEC are an “ecological super-site” because of the density and diversity of the native plants here. Paul will be offering a talk to present his findings, on March 19th.
This lecture will take place on Zoom. The meeting details will be emailed to attendees 2-3 days prior to the event.
