August 2016 Events Near Loveland, CO

Summertime in northern Colorado’s “Gateway to the Rockies” is beautiful, and with many new Loveland and Ft. Collins homes for sale. With the August 2016 events calendar packed with fun, family-friendly activities, residents and people looking to relocate can enjoy outdoor concerts, to community fitness groups to summer festivals. To help you plan the last leg of your summer schedule, we’ve compiled our favorite August 2016 events near the Lakes at Centerra.

Promenade Kid DaysIf your kids love animals, this month’s Promenade Kid Day is perfect for them! Free and open to the public, this event is great outing if you’re looking for something fun to do with the family. This month’s theme is “Animals” and will offer interactive and hands-on activities.

When: Aug. 2, 11 – 2 a.m.

Fitness In The Park Our favorite Centerra Outdoor Summer Fitness series continues into August with free Zumba and an educational life fitness class instructed by Miramont Lifestyle Fitness professionals. A fun way to get to know you’re The Lakes at Centerra neighbors, these free classes are hosted in a beautiful outdoor setting at Chapungu Sculpture Park. Mix up your usual exercise routine and visit the Centerra events page for class details.

Larimer County Fair and Rodeo Featuring fun and excitement for the whole family, Larimer County’s annual Fair and Rodeo returns this August. Hosted on the scenic fairgrounds of The Ranch, just minutes from The Lakes at Centerra, there will be a carnival, live rodeo, contests, food, horse show, live music and much more!

Sounds of Centerra: Summer Concert SeriesCenterra’s free summer concert series isn’t over quite yet! Grab your lawn chairs and come out to Chapungu Sculpture Park to enjoy two more free summer concerts under the stars featuring the musical styling of The Commoners (Irish Rock) and Hey, Lady (B-52’s Tribute Band).

When: Aug. 5 & 12, 7 – 9 p.m.

Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest If you’re looking to make a quick day trip to Ft. Collins, the annual Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest returns with a free, three-day music festival in Historic Downtown. The event will feature a variety of musicians from Colorado, in addition to three headliners taking the main stage each night and kid-friendly activities.

When: Aug. Aug. 12 – 14, times vary

Old Fashioned Corn Roast Festival A perfect outing for the whole family, Loveland’s annual Old Fashioned Corn Roast Festival features a parade, corn shucking competition, corn eating contest and all the roasted and boiled corn you could ever eat. Free and open to the public, there will be a variety of great entertainment, local vendors and live bands.
