Back to school at the new STEAM School at The Lakes

A recent Loveland Reporter-Herald article quoted fifth grader Jim Cathey walking through the front doors at the grand opening exclaiming, “This is awesome!”

The Lakes neighborhood was designed to closely link together the school and the HPEC with off-street trails to provide residents with safe and enjoyable walking and biking routes to the school. In addition, the 13.4-acre school will include a public multi-use playfield for soccer and football, and a softball/baseball practice field accessible to the community.Â

Located just east of Boyd Lake Avenue and U.S. 34, High Plains School is expected to attract new students and families this fall with its well-rounded curriculum and dedication to teaching students the importance of sustainable living at a young age.
