As the temperature rises so does the number of things to do throughout Colorado. The Lakes offers easy access to fun and entertainment in Loveland and beyond, so we’ve compiled the must-attend events and activities throughout the region in May.
Cinco de Mayo
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in downtown Fort Collins at the Northern Colorado Cinco de Mayo Festival, a celebration of family culture and community. Grab your sombrero and enjoy the two-day festival complete with live music, a beer garden, a kid zone area and more!

Make a quick trip to Denver and enjoy the Cinco de Mayo “Celebrate Culture” Festival. Located in the iconic Civic Center Park, the event is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Bring the whole family for activities ranging from a taco eating contest to Chihuahua races and more.

Head to Greeley for one of the largest multicultural festivals in Colorado, the Cinco de Mayo Festival. With live music, a kids area, food vendors and the Fiesta 5K, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

High Plains Environmental Center – Native Plant Sale and Grand Opening
Step out to the grand opening of High Plains Environmental Center’s new location, located within The Lakes at Centerra neighborhood. They’ll have food, tours, a bird walk and more as well as a large selection of native plants for sale.

Front Range Rally
Spend a day enjoying Colorado craft brews and food trucks at the Front Range Rally. Held at the Loveland Food Share and benefitting the Food Bank for Larimer County, this is truly a community event.

Colorado Corks and Cuisine
This annual tasting event and fundraiser is a Denver tradition, bringing together locally made beer, wine, spirits and foods for attendees to enjoy. Colorado Corks and Cuisine helps support Four Mile Historic Park, home to many community events and low-cost school programming throughout the year.

Denver Arts Festival
The Denver Arts Festival is a free event supporting Colorado artists and showcasing select national artists.
