Winter Attractions in Loveland

Devil’s Backbone Nature Trail: Loveland’s Devil’s Backbone Trail is a 4-mile round-trip hike perfect for anyone who enjoys a good snowshoe outing. A local landmark that resembles a giant spine, the backbone is a rock that protrudes from the surrounding landscape. With long days of cold weather, it can be tough to fit exercise in our routines, but this snowshoe trail is so beautiful that it won’t even feel like work!

Holiday Lights at Centerra: Thousands of sparkling blue and white-hued holiday lights are strung throughout Centerra every year. Perfect for photo opportunities throughout the community, residents embrace and appreciate the natural beauty of winter. Come take a magical stroll through Chapungu Sculpture Park, The Promenade Shops and The Marketplace at Centerra.

Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides: Travel back in time and be treated to a free, old-fashioned horse-drawn carriage ride on Main Street at The Promenade Shops at Centerra. Carriage rides are every Sunday starting November 30 through December 21 from noon to 4 p.m. Riders are to meet in front of the ice rink at The Promenade Shops at Centerra.

Ice Rink at Centerra: Open daily through February 22nd, the ice rink at Centerra is a hidden gem and a terrific winter activity for the whole family. Located at The Promenade Shops at Centerra, admission is $7 for children 12 and under and $8.50 for adults. Ice skates are included in the cost.

Colorado Eagles Hockey Games: For all you hockey lovers, the Colorado Eagles are a can’t miss. Check out the schedule and head on down to the Budweiser Event Center to watch a game. Colorado Eagles tickets also make excellent Christmas gifts, hint hint!
